What kind of response is that? I stated a fact, and shared my opinion, and I am sure most people would agree that transports regs are a joke on the fatigue issue, isnt that what this board is about? sharing opinions? The Hammer wrote:But I am sure your opinion is more important than mine so we should listen to you.
But from the other stuff you said I beleive we are in different types of ops, Im in a commuter op, you sound more airline so there are different things at issue. My issue was at the end of a 14 hour day, doing 12-15 legs you then have to wait around for a D/H and then drive home at the end of say 17-18 hours, I just think that is a fatigue issue there. I think the pilot should have the option of if he would prefer the late d/h or overnighting somewhere.
I can honestly say this doesnt happen where I work, Showing up for work rested is every pilots resposibillity, and they should all be ready for a 14 hour duty day, but when companies can stretch them into 16, 17 18, thaqt is what I have a problem with. The Hammer wrote:yet pilots still continue to show up unrested (ie straight from the golf course, jumpseating across the country the day of((sound familiar), etc)
