Narrative: The Liard Air Ltd. Dehavilland DHC6 was reported, as yet to be confirmed, to have departed a dirt strip and on take-off crashed into the adjacent highway. A fire subsequently ensued. The highway was reported closed and yet to be verified 1 person was reported as dead, 2 persons having sustained major injuries, and 2 persons having sustained minor injuries.

Narrative: UPDATE from Nav Canada: The Twin Otter departed VFR Mile 462 (CBF8) to CBF8 from a private strip beside the Alaska Highway and crashed shortly thereafter. There was a post impact fire and one fatality.
