It's not the first time a Jetblue pilot landed with the parking brake set. They did it a few years ago in a Embraer.

Just what I was thinking... time to automate the parking brake, too. Just in case the pilots don't know how to use that, either.

could any airbus drivers post on where the park brake is located and how it might become accidently engaged?

Parking Brake Selector is located on the aft, left portion of the Pedastal. Basically just behind and below the Captain's right elbow.
No idea how it could be accidentally set in flight - but setting the parking brake will generate an indication on the memo section of the Engine/Warning Display. It will also be indicated on the Wheel page which is displayed when the landing gear is lowered for landing.

Always fly a stable approach - it's the only stability you'll find in this business

At least they remembered to put the gear down and didn't slide off a 10,000 foot runway.

It's not part of the landing Memo. If the brake is selected on it will only show a passive note..... perhaps something that may be a nice addition to the landing memo criteria. Much the same as the takeoff memo not including 2 engines operative.

I'm guessing but It would have to have been bumped during flight and even then it would be difficult. Rowdy Sr. spent 15yrs on the airbus and shook his head when I asked about it. Maybe a fault in the sender or actuator not causing the appropriate note? Other than that it must be turned 90 degrees to actuate.

For those not familiar with the 320 family.. the park brake is the t-handle in the center at the rear of the lower pedestal.
