Re: Carson ad.
Have you read the CARs?
ALL PICs have those responsibilities, and more, they just spell it out. Even the stuff an FO is 'responsible' for ultimately falls on the PIC.

Re: Carson ad.
I was thinking "that sure was nice of Carson Air to write out your cover letter for you"
I wonder if they polled everyone at the company and asked them what a pilot's responsibilities were and then included ALL of it in one page for the add. Maybe "to show up, fly good, don't piss anyone off" didn't seem appropriate for a job description...

But they don't have FOs... they have co-captains!!Bushav8er wrote:Even the stuff an FO is 'responsible' for ultimately falls on the PIC
Geez did I say that....? Or just think it....?
Re: Carson ad.
By the time I got to the bottom of the list I had forgotten most of what I read. I hope they find enough applicants who can do most of that stuff for minimum wage..........
Re: Carson ad.
Is the pay scale really that bad or are you making a funny?
I have turned down two jobs in the last month because of the pay. Seems that maybe some companies are getting confused between maximum and minimum wages.

Re: Carson ad.
Pay isn't fantastic from what I've heard... F/o pay is crazy if they expect you to live somewhere like YVR or even YLW for that matter.
Is there a bond?

Having trouble reaching ATC? Squak 7500
Re: Carson ad.
Of course there is a bond!
Oh and IIRC the pay was 19k/yr for FO's on the tube. A little higher for those on the 350 medevac machines..
and you wont be living at all on that wage. just working. every. day.
