I am looking for a link or some direction to look up a plan for a flight from YVR to NAN VFR with some IF along the way if need be. As it stand I am aware of a preferred route via the horn Alaska and such and then southbound through Siberia Asia but I cant locate the site again... I am in Fiji at the moment and would like to get started on the plan. Any help would be great.
I am specifically looking for a source of this popular route.
You can go through Hawaii and then southie to Fiji. (from the west coast of the US) Need 2400nm range plus reserves to Hawaii. There are two fuel stops between Fiji and Nadi so the legs there are reasonable. The new reserve requirements make the hawaii leg a tough haul. Also, you had mentioned VFR???? If you have not done so already, you might want to start your planning by getting up to speed on all the transoceanic requirements, procedures etc. They are available as online courses. There is a lot of ocean out there, and a lot of lumpy stuff to fly through. As you mentioned VFR I expect you are planning low level. Gets really lonely.
I am aware of a routing from Dutch Harbour , in Alaska to Hawaii...a little shorter on the trans oceainc part, but uglier weather as a rule. but through Siberia? Seems to me you would have to go all the way down and across Indonesia, Papua, and Australia to get there that way, but I have never tried to fly that routing, or even considered it, so I will defer to your comments.
It is far far cheaper in most cases to have the A/c put in a sea can and shipped to fiji. And, if it happens to be a single engine aircraft (turbine or not) with no ice capabilities, a lot safer.

Hello:
I have actually done that route a few times now. Your best bet is to go from North Bend (KOTH) or Santa Maria CA (KSMX) Both places are quite familiar with ferry pilots that go through there. You can go VFR but you will have to stay below 5500' as above is all IFR altitudes. You will need a HF radio because San Francisco is going to want hourly reports from you. Here is a good site to get your winds from http://www.prh.noaa.gov/data/HFO/RFRKSF if you would believe every time I went I averaged a tail wind going to hawaii. I would recommend going to Hilo because it is a shorter distance from the mainland and it sets you up for your next leg to Christmas Island. From Christmas I would go to Apia Samoa and direct to Fiji from there. Your longest leg will be 2150NM and then 1200NM legs after that. PM me if you want anymore info. Good Luck!!
That sounds like quite an adventure slipter. Mind if I ask what type of a/c you are flying over there? I'm looking at doing some ferrying out of Australia, looks like with the strength of the dollar down under that is a hot topic.
