Hazlet Oils Ltd. Calgary picks up low time CJ1+

Hazlet Oil had sold their Piaggio P-180 and added this CJ1 + , aircraft has only
152 hours on the airframe and engines - aircraft was delivered new to Beckley
Flying Services in West Virgina in November 2007.

the piaggo is fast, but at the higher cruise altitudes, (above FL310) doesn't the cruise speed of the Piaggo drop off? whereas the CJ1+ will be able to do 400ktas to at least FL410, no? I am guessing here, so don't be too tough on me if I am wrong!

not sure which model they had but I know according to the Piaggio website it will do 402kts at 38 000' and ceiling of 41 000'

max speed for the CJ1+ from the cessna website is 389kts (doesn't say at what alt) but has a ceiling of 41 000' as well

That's pretty good for a turbo prop. I didn't realise the CJ series were so slow....

in that case, wtf? why make that trade? Maybe it was the Avanti 1 they got rid of, in which case the CJ1+ would be a marginal upgrade, i suppose.
