Beech Premier II rebranded - - - Hawker 200

Post by bizjets101 »

ainonline.com news article Hawker Beechcraft (HBC) has rebranded the Beech 390 II Premier, now officially known as the Hawker 200.

Enhancements for the rebranded Hawker 200 will include new Williams International FJ44-3AP engines, winglets, increased gross takeoff weight and maximum altitude, multiscan weather radar, ADS-B out, 400-hour inspection intervals and a 10-year warranty on the airframe, which features a composite fuselage and metal wings. The Hawker 200 evolved from the Premier II program, according to HBC.

I currently fly the Premier IA and absolutely love the aircraft! Very easy to fly with an amazing panel and great comfort for everyone aboard. The Premier is fast and always seems to turn heads. The only problem with it will be solved with the improvments mentioned in the article. We have an order on one PII or Hawker 200 and look forward to seeing how the final product comes out. The only issue with the plane is the 12,500lb MTO.... and 10,000 MZFW. With both of these increased with more power and winglets and a few panel changes, the H200 should be an unbeatable light jet.

They can't go above 12500lbs or they would loose the single pilot certification.

The Hawker 200 will be well above the 12,500... In the US... You can be well above 12,500 and still be single pilot. The heaviest singloe pilot jet right now in the US is the Citation Encore.... I believe is somewhere around 18,000lbs.

Interesting. How do you like the Premier? I have roughly 1000hrs on one, unfortunatly we out grew it rather quickly. I loved it. We always had 2 pro crews on it.

In Canada commercially it must be flown 2 crew 704. Private you can fly single pilot if certified for it. (plane and pilot)

Just for an interesting note... The Premier doesnt have 4 windows on it...... the fourth is actually a decal... I think a few hundred bucks from Hawker/Beech will get it.... People think it makes the plane look more proportional... I tend to agree, but not with the decal idea.
