20-300 ultimate

I have compleated wings, and am hoping to finish fuse and rig yet this winter. Have gotten some original parts from Devin York. Bute am always looking for more. Dose anyone know where the wreckage from Joana Osterudes plane ended up. I know it was sold from a salvage yard in Long Beech suposably went back east??? Got an original windshield and canopy was made off of Rob Hollands 20-300 by plains plastics. Would love to find the original 10-300 that was wrecked would be lots of good parts and save lots of time. Their was very little diffrence from 10- to 20-. I have plans for both. It seems like Gordon built a little heavy but Im not changing anything. My plane will be cloth and not skined like the original, like Sammy Kottios hope to save some weight. Think light will be just the needed, any help will be appriciated their is not alot of info out their for the 20- 10-300s. I got Joana Osterudes spare MT prop and am going with parelel 540.

when I say skined I mean the kevlar skin that was graphed to the fuse. My wings are like the s2 pitts not the sheeted ones like on Robs old ultimate those are the S wings mine are the T wings.

What happened to Rob's Ultimate?

It was never owned by Rob just rented It is in Nasua Nh setting in a hangar. Rob went to the monoplane {the dark side}LOL If it heldup to his flying it eas a good plane. I have made the mods he did to the plane. You fly anything that hard your going to have issues that need to be delt with. I like the looks of the plane Skip Stewart told me once it looked like a insect I like the long lines. Nick Smith has given me some good inpute he is the one that went down in the black Dislexic plane.

What happened to Rob's Ultimate?

The way he described it to me was that he was in a torque roll and backing up. It was backing up beautifully and very stable but did not seem to want to come out, just backing up and up and rotating backwards .. finally he got it to swap ends but it was moving pretty quickly backwards when it pivoted and the rudder got twisted. 1/2 the rudder went to the right and 1/2 to the left. He landed it safely but with lots of yaw issues.

A tail slide or torque roll can be quite violent when it swiches ends if the speed is allowed to build up and that can translate into a lot of stress on the tail feathers.
