STC for Odyssey Battery / firewall mounted battery tray c180

Does anyone know where I can get a Canadian STC for this?

check the FAA site for an stc, I believe that TC will allow it as it is a US mfr'd aircraft

I want to do this to my 180 too this winter. The old battery and that long run of old cable from the back is making for some pretty slow cranking on start-up. Apparently this mod saves 28 lb. and the firewall mounted battery gets warmed up too when you have to preheat.

The only problem is that it adds some forward weight in the CofG calculation. The stock 180-185s are a bit nose heavy anyway with no weight in the back. I plan to stow my emergency kit farther aft to compensate. The next step is to add the flat baggage floor after the battery is gone.

Any idea about the cost of doing this mod? I already have my A&P looking into STCs and suppliers. Heres the research info I supplied him.
