AME tools in Canada or US?

The tools are the same as you use on your car only standard no metric. Any special tools the company supplies ie Torque wrenchs. If you are sheet metal Then get a Brown's Avaition Catalog and order a basic kit, Wait until your in the trade for a while before spending a great deal on money on tools. When you show up at your new job, most people will lend their tools so the new guys can help out. Chance are you'll be place with an expeience person who has a good selection of tools.

Canadian tire is a great place to get your sockets, and wrenches, but make sure you have a good screw driver (snap on) every thing else is crap.

Really no such thing as "Type Ratings" in Canadian license system anymore...

What type of aircraft are you looking for training on ?
