Yep, I don't think I would count stock in an airline as a pension. You can save your company matched stock and put it in RRSP after they vest, but if you live 30 years after you retire, will the money last that long?

One other point as I have had much coffee and cannot seem to stop typing:
WJA, AC, Jazz, Transat, Sunwing, Canjet etc etc etc all seem to be decent places to work.
