Ottawa Assessment Session ... for whom?

I am in Toronto, and wondering if I should have received an invite to the Ottawa Assessment Sessions scheduled for February 11th? Basically, does my lack of an invite mean I have not been chosen, or is it more likely that the Ottawa one would not invite Toronto residents?

Ottawa, and the Ottawa Airport are under the Montreal FIR and so in a different region than Toronto and is also has a bilingual requirement. If you wish to be considered for other regions, you would have to call and speak to the recruiting team to see if that can be done. In order to qualify for the Montreal FIR you would need to pass a French and English proficiency exam.

I am not bilingual and was invited to the Ottawa session on the 11th, just got to have my fingers crossed now!

As far as I understand though, the session was just for those who took part in the Sim test back in the Fall of 2010, so if you were not in that, you would not have been invited.

Just checked - and got the green light! Yeah! Just have to wait now and see if I get invited to interview.

For whats it's worth I applied in Ottawa and was offered a course in YYZ. I don't speak french.

As stated before if you aren't bilingual you will not work YOW tower or term since it is part of YUL ACC and offers only bilingual service. Good luck!

Yes, I think it was mentioned at the testing session that the course would be in Toronto for English Ottawa people. I kinda wish I could work in BC (that's where I used to live) or up North but I guess I can talk that through in my interview

On another note, first interview is next week!

Had interview yesterday, checked today and greenlighted!

Now I guess I just have to wait and see!
