Canadian Private Pilot Answer Guide, lots of questions, the answer key has a reference to get the source of info for the answer, if you're able to study the CARs, AIM and FGU by yourself that'll be all you need.

Alternately, the Sharper Edge's has a "need-to-know" summary before questions

In the same way, Mr I-don't-want-my-name-in-these-forums made a similar system, but with two expensive books:

http://www.aerotraining.com/ - click on the Free Online Exams at the bottom left

Every test section has 4 progressively more difficult levels, it forces you to get a 90% or higher on each stage to advance. Great tool. It is older though so be careful if any questions have answers that are no longer correct, I didn't seem to have any issues though.
