Interviewed today. Questions were identical to http://www.airlinepilotcentral.com/airl ... z_air.html. I think I may have blew it by rambling on and on.

floatplanepilot, if you don't mind telling, what is your experience with regards to TT, PIC/Co-Pilot, etc. Much the same as the others who have posted before you?

Re: Interview
had mine. 1 Hr lady and the CP
maybe 20 questions
35-45mins
zero expressions from them during the interview and constant notetaking.
question about example of discrimination in the workplace
conflict with someone on your team
the rest were almost exactly the same as the interview question on airline pilot central
fingers crossed...
good luck

Re: Interview
SO, dows anyone know how many Jazz will be hiring this year. I know the original ad stated 30. Has anyone heard differently?
Re: Interview
~100 is the last official count that I've heard. As always, that number is subject to change. Good luck to everyone applying!

Re: Interview
A interview candidate was told 90 last week, with 4 GS's already full. Meaning they are basically about halfway through.
Re: Interview
I got the call for sim eval in Toronto in early April. From what I've heard, it's pretty easy going and straight forward. Departure, vectored around a bit, a couple steep turns, vectored NDB, missed approach, engine failure/fire after you level off, then vectored again for Single Eng ILS and that's it. People have told me, use the PNF a lot to set up everything, and you should be fine. Oh and its all raw data I believe, no FD, AP or GPS/FMS and whatnot. For the approaches you'll use Jepp Charts.
Can anyone else thats been through, confirm/correct/or add anything????

I am pretty sure a general search on the site will find that, possibly even going through this particular topic my give your answer.

D-Iced wrote:Keep on it, its true they have 90 spots to fill. Once you have successfully applied to the position advertised on Taleo, you will know it. If you arent sure, could be that youve missed something. As soon as you sign in, 'Completed Submissions' appear directly below on the 'My Submissions' tab (in this case, as per Job Number: TBD-2011-581-003864).
From my meager and fairly un-informed position, they are filling the ranks as fast as they can get people through successful interviews (which equates to being prepared for the questions they ask you, and being someone that the interviewers feel good about (particularly the pilot(s) on the panel) and would dare commit to a multi-day pairing with. No database comparisons with other candidates interview scores (at least not in the 'batch hiring' sense), simply yes/no, then book sim dates, then fill up ground schools.
On to the sim! Stoked
+1 , that's pretty much bang on my impression. The key here is " are they a people person?" and "would i want to fly with this guy?"
check egos at the door, folks.

Re: Interview
calls have gone out for the 5th gs this year starting may 9th, with about 10 people per gs.... but more guys have quit since the last bid so will likely be over a hundred new hire before they are done. there must be more interviews to do yet.
Re: Interview
just wondering if anyone may have seen any asians(with canadian citizenship) joining the company?
I was born in Hong Kong but completed my training in canada. I am also a permanent resident of Canada.
What are my chances of joining the company??
Thanks a lot,every one!

Re: Interview
Yes, your ethnic backround won't have anything to do with not getting hired at Jazz.
"Stand-by, I'm inverted"
Re: Interview
thanks for your reply.
Coz i haven't seen any asian working in the company so far, as far as i saw at the airports.
i thought my chance of joining would be very slim but now i guess i need to earn my time up in order to be considered as a very competitive candidate.
thanks again.
