Class 1 instructor Montreal area
Hi everyone,
first post here.
I tried to search the forum but came up with nothing.
If there are any freelance Class 1 instructors who teach on their own private plane in the Montreal area,
please PM me.
I am interested in an instructor rating.
Good day

Part of the instructor rating is understanding how FTU's are organized, what they are supposed to do (and not do), including how the business works and what the roles and responsibilities of the Manager,CFI, Supervising instructor, PRM/AMO, and dispatcher are. For that reason I only do Instructor Rating's through a FTU even if it is on the owners aircraft.

umm ... that's a contravention of CAR 406.03(1) so I don't think you will find many people doing it.freelance Class 1 instructors who teach on their own private plane

Yep..Hedley beat me to it again! ... Freelancers cannot use their own A/C for training...

Any reason in particular you didn't want to go through a flight school?
Like stated above, that's not going to happen unless you get the plane yourself...
Plus, I think its not a bad idea to consider the instructor course as a long interview of sorts.
So doing it at a flight school where you could see yourself working and have an actual shot at a job afterwards makes sense.
