Looking at a 2002 Honda CBR600 F4i. Got quoted over 10k by a couple places and then State Farm gave me 3000 a year. Still shopping though...

I've tried

Any recommendations to look at?

(Rant: My 20 year old cousin in the states has been caught speeding in a vehicle 30mph over, and still only pays 700 a year for his bike. I have a totally clean record. WTF Canada?)

How old are you?
Try calling a broker who can get you a quote through Jevco. They've been the cheapest for me.

You're other option is to get a smaller displacement/non-sport motorcycle.

I think primmum is the same as TD

I'm under 25, which is my issue.

J.D. Smith is a broker for Jevco. I called and they laughed at me at said it would be well over 10 000 a year.

EDIT: Do any insurance companies do riding season insurance? Paying for 6 months of insurance in case the bike falls over in the garage sucks.

With Jevco, I pay 1750 a year for full coverage on a 650, but it isn't a sport bike. Just read that they surcharge 400% on a sport bikes though. Yikes! State farm is probably your best bet then.

Primmum is owned by TD but they are so good to us I almost like having insurance. I sure wish they did commercial for my truck. I still have to use some non Primmum company there, what a pain that is.

For my moped the first year was $400, then they told me to renew it was going to be $800 because they fucked up on the first year! WTF???

Now that I'm 25 ill give it another shot, hopefully it went down.

Mine last year was $600 with riders plus, then they send renewal now $909. ?
State Farm was $680 around the first of April, but said it could go up or down?

1985 kawi Vulcan 750cc, Ive had bike insurance for 3 years which is what matters, not how long you've had a license. I pay $600/yr, liability only. Wawanesa insurance. In northern Ontario.

The Whole CBR600F series is considered a supersport most places (even though it isn't). Does it have to be an F4I? They are a gorgeous bike for sure but keep in mind your rates will drop big time just after the first year.

TD has been good for my girlfriend and I. I'm amazed you got a decent quote from State Farm though.

We have a 2009 Yamaha FZ6R, which can (only a little loosely) be called a sport-tourer and we pay $2500. I'm 21 with two tickets, she's clean.

On a side note do the states do the same as Quebec for insurance, where they pay to license the vehicle and get cheap insurance? We can't be that much more statistically unreliable up here.

Back in the day, I just hit a broker that dealt with Jevco.

After talking to lots of people, that turned out to be the right choice.

Not sure how it is a few years later.

Got the F4i.

Turns out, we worked out some details, changed some names on the registration, brought one of the family cars over, and viola, $60 a month. Not bad for a <25 male riding a sport bike.

try your online quote with a lower cc and see what happens. i have a 500 which is lame but good on insurance.
