Searching for Helio Couriers

Post by Merry maid »

Good day all,

I am trying to locate 3 H-295 Helios that were imported into Canada late November or early December 2010. They may still have their N registration or have been converted to the C registration. The FAA regs are N6343V, N316LM and N5384G. I'm sure this is like looking for a needle in a haystack, however some of you eagle eye types may know about them.

Circumstances prevent me from disclosing why I am looking for them.

Any assistance is appreciated. Please PM me instead of posting on here. Thanks a lot.

lists a calgary address.....unless the last owner was in canada, had it N registered, then sold it....

Thanks r22. I was previously aware of all that information you provided. I am looking for the geographic location of the planes. It is a very complicated situation. They could be in Alberta, northern B C or northern Ontario or none of the preceding for all I know. Thanks again.

These helicopters obviously came from Dodson's http://www.dodson.com/ , I'd just contact them and find out who picked them up, which trucking company, when, possible where - then contact Canada Customs based on departure from Rantoul.

Without knowing any details, I'll assume none of the helicopters are airworthy at this time - not sure the purpose of importing them into Canada??? Seems odd already.

If they are to be parted - or someone who might have an idea - try contacting Jeremy at Helihub; http://www.helihub.com/contact/ he may have some ideas??

If they aren't to be parted out, then I guess if you can't find them, at least one of them will get registered sooner or later???

As they were legally imported (on paper) Transport Canada will have all the owners mailing address and aircraft base. http://wwwapps2.tc.gc.ca/Saf-Sec-Sur/2/ ... ontact.asp

Thinking there might be one in Thunder Bay at Lakehead Aviation. I will have to go do a double take.

Doh, thought Helios was bad short form for Helicopter!!!

However my point was, the USA registered owners home address boarders the giant salvage yard of Dodson's in Rantoul, Kansas.

My first place to contact would be Dodson - to see where the aircraft were either shipped to or picked up by???

Merry Maid...

Mystery solved, I believe.
Aviation sure is a small world, a few phone calls here and there and Bingo the whole sorry tale out in the open... 'Death' having come quietly in the night like a black cow, trailed three orphaned un-airworthy Helios, ...or maybe more.

That's all I can say ... loose lips sink ships... and I had mine surgically removed quite some time ago...

Let's see what you can come up with...You have five minutes

There's a place near Pouce Coupe B.C. where 3 of them live on a hill. The hill is also their runway. Not sure if all are serviceable.

Maybe more have joined the flock there?

Hey stranger...was goofing off on Google maps trying to find them. Can you supply a position relative to Pouce Coupe? (north? south? east? west?)
