Well, there are only 3 to choose from. centennial is good and takes the most students, (mybe too many) canadore has a good reputation, and Im not sure about confederation. (too damn far!) I know a couple more are starting up programs, but only offering the theory portion right now.

An Avionics program has opened at Fanshawe in London. I toured the facility this summer and they have a great lab with all new digital test equipment. It should be able to produce techs with experience on equipment used now a days in the field........other than Centennial. I still have yet to see a shop with the equipment I used there. They are going to start a Maintenance program in a few years when the new facility is completed.

I cant say I have seen any guys come from Mohawk yet, then again I have not seen any Confed guys either but between Canadore and Centennial it's honestly close to a tie. I've seen terrible, useless all thumbs and little finger guys from both schools and I've seen good ready to work guys. Either way both schools have the same downfall. Guys come out with no idea how to troubleshoot a problem and think the crappy little jobs we all did as apprentices are beneath them. Although i will say that Centennial guys don't have as big a head as the Canadore guys coming out of school.

I agree with that for sure, the schools all teach basic, basic skills based on an outdated curriculum. We need to modernize CAR 566 Appendix C.

CAMC or CCAA now has a new REV to their curriculum and it is well done from what Ive seen.

If you have a college close by then ask to address their advisory committee and bring up these issues!

Very good points :!:
