Thanks God humanity isn't dead...
...because this dude was almost guaranteed to be.
I first saw this story from another website.
Video is self explanatory.
And no, it's not a rick astley video.

Great job and good to see. But where was the riders helmet?
She’s built like a Steakhouse, but she handles like a Bistro.

Not all States require riders to wear helmets.
Retarded not to, but hey its my tax money/insurance rates paying for those who don't.

Interesting :
Utah Law
78B-4-501. Good Samaritan Act. (1) A person who renders emergency care at or near the scene of, or during an emergency, gratuitously and in good faith, is not liable for any civil damages or penalties as a result of any act or omission by the person rendering
nice .........

We have that here too to the best of my recollection.

Meant to protect those people from getting sued for liability on exacerbating any injuries. ie: buddy has a broken neck , did his spinal cord rupture due to being saved. I know many Dr's that wouldn't answer a request due to liability issues.

Re: Thanks God humanity isn't dead...
I've never understood this argument. Pro helmet folks will tell you that if you don't wear one, you're sure to die in even a minor slow speed accident. If you do wear one, you're likely to live but will almost certainly be injured. Now coming strictly from a Canadian socialized medicine point of view...which rider is going to cause the greatest expense to the tax payer? One who's dead? Or one that's injured and/or permanently disabled? The same goes for insurance carriers actually...but we've all accepted the scam that the insurance companies have gotten us used to.its my tax money/insurance rates paying for those who don't.
This isn't meant to be an anti-helmet post....but please, come up with a reasonable argument.

An amazing video and kudos to the people there, however...
I said the same on the other site I've seen this:
I'm very glad our police are kept current in first aid. I understand the need to move the rider away from the burning wreckage, but that attempt was pretty sad.

Glad he's ok. If he wasn't wearing a helmet, I wonder if he still thinks this is worth feeling the wind through his hair.Nark wrote:Not all States require riders to wear helmets.
