Likewise. Jazz is a great company, I am willing to help anyone aboard that wishes for my humble advice. Don't expect the 'Holy Grail' at Jazz, but I am constantly amazed at the good attitudes I find in the cockpit.

I emailed the contact this week that was given to us in the form letter for those in the hiring pool a couple weeks back. I asked if there are any updates for those of us who are only part way through the process, but I have not reveived a reply yet.

Also, I went to update my online profile the other day but the "Pilot" job is no longer listed, and my profile, while still visible, is now un-editable, so I can'y change my hours, contact info, etc. Anyone know what that's about?

My last application has been "un-editable" since the end of June/ beginning of July. I would think that if they are going to be hiring that they would have a "new job posting"... But as of yet, I haven't seen any.

If I were to guess, the hiring that goes on in the near future will be through contact with previous applicants, based on their quals at the time, from the pool. In other words, no new job posting. That said, if they run through the pool, they will post a new job for all to apply for.

Best of luck! Worth the blood, sweat and tears I'd say.

Isn't this almost exactly where we were last Sept after the Aug bid? Roughly 40 new hires required, and that is after hiring 100 or since then. Its my understanding that AC is just starting to get going on there hiring, so I would guess that we will see a lot more hiring in 2012. We are losing guys right now to AC, WestJet, Transat, and the middle east. My guess is that 40 new hires wont keep up with the guys leaving.

Don't want to stir a hornets nest or trolling here, but why is there so many guys leaving Jazz??? With the new career contract in place and numerous posts on here how it is such a great company, curious as why so many are jumping ship??
I guess everyone has their reasons but is it to get onto bigger planes? Better pension elsewhere? Uncertainty in 2020? Don't want to wear a hat anymore??

Prolly that, it is so not a cool hat :? .

That and :prayer: more money, :prayer: bigger ships. Grass is always greener (but you usually still gotta wear the hat) . . .

Jazz is good, but there will always be moves to 'bigger' opportunities when the hiring be happenin.

People have to be happy with them selves before they can be happy with their work place. In general Jazz is not a bad place to be, good people, pension, equipment and schedules. Sure you are limited to a more or less a regional operation and salaries half of what AC is making, but is that everything that counts in our careers?

But make no mistakes, people at Jazz are aware of certain short-backs and most will tell you, that if a better gig comes up, take it and don't look back. After all, it's your life and family at the end that matter...not what your buddies will say behind your back.
