I think rather than assuming that someone who disagrees with you is stupid, consider the idea that you'll never learn very much from someone who is always agreeing with you.
The real question about CBC and other Crown Corporations is do we really need them, not do we like them or if we'd miss them but do we need them?
All of us are on some form of a budget and we have to make decisions based on wanting something and needing something and its my opinion that in these times of tougher economic times CBC would fall under "wanting" at best and would not measure up as "needed".
