Float Plane Crash Yellowknife - Float Docks
Anyone have any information about this? My condolences to those affected and prayers that everyone is ok.
Re: Float Plane Crash Yellowknife - Float Docks
I just heard on the CBC news that the plane crashed into a house in Old Town, as of now there is nothing about it on CBC's website.
The News North Website says the plane was a Twin Otter with 7 people on board. I don't have a subsciption to that site so i wasn't able to read any more, does anybody knows whether it was a Tindi plane or ASC plane?

Re: Float Plane Crash Yellowknife - Float Docks
Unconfirmed, but I have heard that the plane is on the road and had taken out some power lines.
Re: Float Plane Crash Yellowknife - Float Docks
I'm hoping it is just on a road but unfortuatly i am very familiar with old town and there are very few places big enough to put an airplane down safely.
Re: Float Plane Crash Yellowknife - Float Docks
Just heard on the radio that it was an Arctic Sunwest plane and they figure that it might have hit a building. Some of the people I work with have seen pictures already and apparently it has come to rest on a few cars, still right-side-up (not able to see the front). Again this is all unconfirmed.

CBC just put a picture up on its website, Definatly a Twin Otter and does look like it belongs to ASC, The Plane does appear to still be in good shape for the most part but thats kind of hard to tell, Hope everyone is OK.

Have seen the site first hand and it's not a good scene. Please pray for everyone involved. The folks at ASW are a tremendous group of people and need all of our prayers and well wishes right now.

Judging by the photo, I'm not sure this ended well for the crew. Thoughts and condolences to friends, family, and ASW.
