Emergency landing LOT B737

Post by jacek_flying »

Anyone have any info on the Emergency Landing of a LOT B737 which had some kind of pressurization problem? Flight diverted to Warsawa EPWA on November 03 2011 at 20:30 local time.

Hope all on board are safe. Looks like the airport emergency services are getting a good work out the last couple of days. :D

Also it seems like the LOT maintence people are going to be quite busy over the next little while. :smt040

Fly safe

He was asking about a different LOT incident, involving a B737 not the belly landing B767.

I can't find any info on the accident forum?

Two in a row? Good times. Sorry, it's so soon I thought he was talking about the belly landing.

Yes it seems there might have been a cockpit window open in flight not sure how this is possible while pressurized? Anyone fly this machine that could offer more insight? :?:

And if the belly never happened nobody would even be talking about this latest incident!

It was on departure and they were never higher than 2500 ft. They weren't pressurized yet.

I think you might be mistaken "whiteguy", I think that with this airline and the fact that the presidential aircraft which went down not that long ago any and all incidence will be under the microscope especially in the near future. IMHO

I would like to know why you think this would have have unnoticed if not for the B767 accident? do you know of other events with this airline which were not publicized? The last incident that I know of with this airline was a crash into mountains back in the '80s.

Fly Safe. :)

This thread is a perfect example....

Is there a thread started for every minor incident for any other airlines? No, the only reason this one was started was because of the belly landing last week. The same thing happened with Qantas after the A380 incident. Any minor incident made the news and they were under the media microscope for a while after.
