The closing date for the job application window was probably Oct 31. Doesnt mean they're stopping hiring.

You can't edit your submission anymore unfortunately (I tried just to see).

Last I heard, they were planning at least one course per month for the foreseeable future. We are still skinny on manpower and the retirements continue at around 120-140 per year. If they have stopped accepting resumes I believe it will only be temporary. They might be waiting to see what transpires with the company's push for an arbitrated CBA and the structure of the contract.

ah yes very true never considered that. i guess it would be in the company's best interest to wait and see what the cba might say. well hopefully it comes back on soon

I don't think it's contract-related at all... they don't have to stop interviewing just because the contract negots are approaching. They might just take a break or slow down interviewing a bit in December and early January. I would imagine the ad will be updated and open again shortly.

I just logged in my account and still able to edit my resume, etc...
By looking at the Job Posting date, I think they reopen it again.
Great!

I don't really notice anything different. When I update my application the date where it says "Completed - updated: XX/XX/XXXX" never changes. Basically, my submission status never seems to change. Does it change for other people? I did interview before, does this make a difference? Thanks.

No class for December, but two classes in January (one at the beginning and one at the end) and then one per month after that.
