O.K. troops just to clarify my position here is how I will do things and if TC doesn't like it f.ck them.

I no longer hold a valid instrument rating as far as TC is concerned..

If I needed to file IFR I would do it and fly with the same caution and respect for safety that I have for decades.

I no longer hold a valid instructors rating and never ever again intend to demean myself by interfacing with some deadbeat drone working for TC flight training.

However I will give instruction to anyone with the cash to pay me as long as they do not want a receipt.

I do hold a valid Canadian medical for my licenses, however the only reason that I bother with that is so I can still keep my foreign approvals valid because they are based on my Canadian license's .

However when I no longer feel like flying overseas I will let my medical lapse and if I feel medically and mentally fit to fly I will.

If TC ramps me I will just tell them to f.ck off.

I can do this because I have a unspoken agreement with the DGCA that as long as he sees nothing wrong with his TC officials ignoring the law and being moral degenerates like him, the DGCA can also go f.ck himself.

Yeh, not much changes.

Just had a phone call from the engineer and he is going over to Holland tomorrow to install the parts we needed, looks like we have a good possibility of making the airshow on the 21st. & 22nd. so maybe I can get something done for a change. It all depends on the CAA now with the paper work approval.

Sometimes I think I would have been better off staying in the air attack business, but I get bored to easy.. :smt026

Already have the offshore account at Barclays. I will accept wire payment or USD Hundreds (although 100 Euro notes preferred.)

Merc, no problem, as long as it's for the nation in power. I'll even settle for the side that has the greatest chance at over throwing the gov't and would gain power.

Contraband, lol, I would do it, but it's got to be a big load and it's a 1 time deal, and the pay needs to be high..

So for the contraband I'm s.o.l because I know of guys that would want less...

Where I worked, we had someone buy a CitationII to fly drugs. Was behind on his maintenance for 7 months before TC and RCMP investigated. They were flying drugs in and always flying the same route. Buttonville-Hamilton-Kingston-Buttonville. They finally got caught in the act (dumping hockey bags of drugs while taxiing). The co-pilot was a recent grad at Georgian and aparently was bought a Corvette from the Pilot and owner of the jet... They won't be flying for a long time now. Heres a pic of the plane apart when the RCMP told us to "take her apart"

I am not 100% sure but I heard something along the lines that Canada will prosecute its citizens for crimes (by Canadian law) in other countries.

I would considered, specially now that I have not flown since I came to CANADA! and I NEED to fly.

If you have Dual citizenship they can't touch you. Especially if you're a citizen of a European country. I would never fly anything illegal, because most likely its the scum that organize it and what makes you think they will even pay you and not put a bullet in your head when the job is done?

How do you know you're not already flying contraband?

Friend of mine just finished a charter with a country music singer. The windshield delaminated and they could not finish the last leg of the trip. They advised the client he would have to airline home. After much much discussion as to why he could NOT go airline it came to light.

"I've got 3 pounds of pot in my bags!" was what the singer said. :lol:

Being a low-time pilot, sure I'd do it.

As long as it was guaranteed that I wouldn't get in trouble with the canadian authorities, i wouldn't get pistol whipped by any rival cartels, and I wouldn't end up getting "butt-blasted" in a south american dungeon for the rest of my life.

Hey, if they could meet those requests then it'd be a dream job.

Hello, interesting conversation going on here. I have thought about doing this for a long time. Great money, good schedule.... couple of months of real hard, hair raising work, followed by a few months of well earned r and r in the country of your choice. Souds good to me!! Probably a big down side to this, and like they say "The greater the risks involved, the greater the rewards". The choice will always be yours.

You have to assess your own risk factors when flying as a mercenary or flying contraband.

Some contraband has far higher risks than others.

Mercenary flying in a military sense also usually comes with high risk, just look at the guys sitting in jail in Zimbawbe who got caught about a year ago in Harrare.

However there is a moral up side to it, at least you have chosen to take a chance to grab a big monetaty gain by going outside normal legal channels and if caught you take your punishment and go on with life, if you still have one to go on with of course.

Now if you wish to operate with complete disregard to the law and to the well being of your fellow man and want to be protected from prosecution or any punishment and still stay in aviation , all you need do is get a job with Transport Canada.

The only down side to that job choice is unlike us borderline common crimminals if you join TC and become one of their corrupted members you will be lower than any crimminal on earth in the eyes of your colleauges.

( Please read what I just wrote, "become" one of their corrupted members " most of the people in TC do not fit into that catagory, sadly most of the corrupt ones are in management. )

Just to keep everything straight here so there is no room for missunderstanding I am a mercenary and am content to take my chances when the opportunity arises. :mrgreen:

Do you mean they will prosecute Canadian citizens who commit acts that are illegal in other countries, or who do things that would be illegal in Canada?
