Jack Kaiser
I have just found out from Jacks son that Jack passed away a couple of days ago.
Words will not explain how I feel and it will be the same for many of you out there.
There will be a celebration of life for Jack in the first week or second week of January, the time and place will be posted here.
I know there are literally thousands out there who knew Jack and or read his articles on flying.

The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no
After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

Re: Jack Kaiser|
I remember him well from the Victoria Flying club days. Quite the character. He will be missed.
How can you tell which one is the pilot when you walk into a bar?....Don't worry he will come up and tell you.
Re: Jack Kaiser
I did quite a bit of training over the years with Jack. Hell of a nice guy. Lots of stories from the war and all the years after that. I won't be in Victoria when the memorial is held. Thanks for passing the message Cat. I'll be in touch with his family.

I never knew Jack but his name was everywhere when I flew on the coast. I did have the pleasure of reading a few of his articles and will look forward to reading more. Im sorry for the loss of your friend Cat, and condolences to his family. RIP GBNF

Re: Jack Kaiser
Sad news, he lived a great life and was a real character. Was wondering about him the other day. Thanks Cat.
Re: Jack Kaiser
The name was familiar so I checked my log book and I took aerobatic training from Jack in the 80's. He struck me as a very personable individual and I remember he invited me to stop by his house to look at an antique car he had restored. I don't remember what it was but he pointed out that just like an airplane it had a mixture control. Sorry to hear of his passing, but going back to the log book brought back many happy memories of the Victoria Flying Club.

Jack taught my first ever ground school class. That guy had some good stories... RIP.
Re: Jack Kaiser
I did my Multi rating with Jack in 1986. He was a very great fellow. I enjoyed the few hours that I got to fly with him .
