I agree but why are all the threads locked in the Water Cooler? You want someone to post, unlock some threads. Maybe the old members got turned off with the hacking!

No I went back to a Nokia 16 something or other after I dropped the iphone in the dog's water dish.

Edit: fast posted. It should have been funnier if it looked like a conversation.

I don't follow what's so bad about "non aviation" around here. Do a bunch of members here wander around the real world swearing at anything that's not an airplane?

I've never used a Cell Phone in an airplane. It did tell me I missed a call from my wife while I was flying once.

I believe it was the ‘Attawapiskat’ post that got the mod’s nervous.. and for good reason.
Once section 13 of the CHRC is repealed, which should be in early 2012, free speech will be restored. Until then, the site owner walks on egg shells when it comes to certain topics.

You believe wrong.

The endless violations of the site rules by a predictable cross-section of users is the reason why it was closed. As stated many times in the past - users get out of the site what they put into it. The WC seems to attract a particular kind of posting attitude which is not what the site is, or should be about. Enough was enough. Think of it as a body of work, not one particular issue.

‘Attawapiskat’ was no different to a myriad of other threads that went way over the line. 'Free speech' has nothing to do with it.

This thread seems to have outlived its usefulness.
