Re: Air Georgian
Having seen all of this discussion, what are the TT for an FO position. I have been hearing about the 250hr MENTOR program. Could anyone help shed some light on this. Thanks
Re: Air Georgian
They hire select students from a couple aviation college/university programs (mainly Seneca). Not sure how often that's done or how many students they take.LaurentDussolier wrote:Having seen all of this discussion, what are the TT for an FO position. Otherwise, 1500 min TT.
Re: Air Georgian
Anyone have any info on what kinda time the new hires had last time they did hiring during the summer/fall. Also any info on the sim eval and interview would be great, I've read the earlier replies but some current info would be awesome. Lastly anyone know if they'll be hiring for yyz or mostly yyc next?

The above request has not been answered. The CMA pay scale was publicly available http://www.airlinepilotcentral.com/airl ... n_air.html so why is there a problem with posting the Air Georgian equivalents? Are the pay scales the same across Canada or do they vary between bases? It would seem logical to expect higher pay in bases with higher costs of living.

Re: Air Georgian
I've worked there. As of a couple years ago:
11 GDO's/month.
9 Stats
10 Days vacation to start after your first year.
Seniority system (Scheduling, Upgrade, Bases ect)
F/O Start: 27 ish
Capt Start: 45 ish for DEC, 50 ish if you're an F/O and you upgrade.
Per Diems: Add another 5 ish on top.
Note the word (ish)
Days are long. It's not uncommon to have an 8hr day turn into a 14 hr day. On the east coast you could be flying up to 8 legs a day.
Usually upgrades are seniority based, 2700tt with 500 on type. In the past they have upgraded with less depending on movement but the 500 on type is a hard req.
Although guys have complained about mx (usually people that have never worked up north or with only FTU exp) the mx is good and I never ever felt unsafe.
Mgt is not what it use to be. When I left the Mgt style was somewhat experimental. It was a case of trying to see how much they can get away with before there was an uproar. Current VP use to be President of the Union. Put two and two together!
Overall a good company to get in, get your time and get out.

I want to die like my grandfather did, peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming in terror like his passengers...

Re: Air Georgian
What happened to the recent posts on this thread. Were they censored? I don't think they were inappropriate in any way. Any moderators care to elaborate please and thanks?

Perhaps one of the mods here works for Georgian...Inverted2 wrote:What happened to the recent posts on this thread. Were they censored? I don't think they were inappropriate in any way. Any moderators care to elaborate please and thanks?
I guess voicing the opinion that an FO's salary is in actual fact - a poverty wage scale - has ruffled a few stained feathers.
Very very sad, and despicable.
Censorship at it finest.

Re: Air Georgian
Cher Baron & company,
I'm fairly sure that none of the mods are in any way associated with Georgian/Alliance.
For what it's worth, I hadn't touched this thread. But before we hear the howls of outrage... please note the forum rules above, which would likely indicate why this was truncated.
If someone has an updated pay scale I did notice the thread is several years old.

Re: Air Georgian
I think they are looking for guys that have 2000 TT + so its a quicker upgrade time. They are probably having a hard time keeping experienced guys in the cockpit as they hired a few direct entry capts.. Anyone interview recently?
