Bruce Dickinson flying into YWG?????

Post by laticsdave »

IRON MAIDEN - July 24 in Winterpeg!! Floor tickets. Yeeeeaaahhhh.     :drinkers:

Wonder if Brucie and the boys will be taking Ed Force 1 on this tour - apparently the aircraft is still available for Maiden's use despite the end of Astraeus Airlines. Comment from Bruce Dickinson...
Published: Nov 23, 2011, as per report from ironmaiden.com ........

"Following the news earlier this week that Astraeus Airlines has sadly now ceased operations, Bruce has disclosed he is currently working on a number of new aviation related projects, some of which may involve his former Astraeus colleagues. One of his new ventures, which you will already be familiar with, is the upcoming Bruce Air Flight 666 Experience in the Boeing 737 Simulator.

Bruce's commitment to his aviation career remains as passionate as ever, and he wanted to reassure all Maiden fans that this includes the continuation of the Bruce Air fan club trips and more touring with Ed Force One at some point in the future.

Bruce comments "The good news is that Ed Force One will fly again, and we have time to prepare so there should be no problems the next time we need her. In the meantime I'll get on with the business of flying until Maiden are out on the road again!"

Yes. Terrible, actually. Quite beneath you in fact.

I personally would have made some kind of joke about "the rime of the ancient aviator".

Seriously what does a guy have to do to get floor tickets anyway? I finally got through to ticketmaster 4 minutes after the sale supposedly opened and they were already selling the top of the second balcony for $90 a seat! What a joke. I joined the fan club that got me nothing. Did anybody go out and get an american express card just to be able to pre buy?

Just out of curiosity I searched for tickets on TM late last night (March 2), and I could've bought more floor tickets then?!

Hope you get some descent tickets without having to pay through the nose for them. Hopefully the "paperless" ticket thingy will stop the majority of the touts (I had to pay $400 for two tickets in Vancouver in '08, because arseholes with no interest in seeing the gig managed to buy dozens of tickets each before they went on sale to the public, and then flog them on Craigslist, Kijiji, etc.).

Can't wait for 23:58!! :supz:

There was no AMEX presale for Iron Maiden. I got two tickets, top row in 200 section on the side.

Well, at least you've got tickets (I guess there are more metalheads in YYC than YWG), even if due to the height you'll be at and the price you paid you'll be "Man On The Edge"!! (these puns are getting worse! The only REALLY good Maiden song when Blaze was in the band - his solo stuff and Wolfsbane albums are excellent, but he just couldn't hit the high notes (that and Steve Harris seemed to be premanently pissed off while Bruce was away, and that meant all the albums he had a hand in mixing just sounded like a Steve Harris sound check - IMHO :D )).

Enjoy the gig!!......I'm Running Free, Yeah  :supz:

200 section at MTS centre isn't too bad. It's still lower bowl, we are a section and a half away from the stage. When I took my daughter to Britney Spears we had 300 ( upper deck) tickets and got moved down to the same section.

Britney Spears - for that sacrifice you deserve floor tickets and all-access backstage passes...however failing that, find the floor entrance with the small, bemused old lady :? checking tickets and slip in there! Worked in Vancouver!!!
