How about...
"Openly said we're going to pay pilot's 80% of the industry standard and continue to make canadian aviation sh*ttier for pilots"
I dunno if it would fit across the Q400, but worth a shot

Wow, bitter much? If it bothers you that much, I suggest you don't apply to work there when they open the doors. If everyone follows your lead, then the wages will rise.yvrflyguy wrote:How about...

Sometimes the testing for reading comprehension, mathematics, and social skills
occur prior to the application, let alone the interview. "Thanks for not applying and we wish you every success in your future endeavors...."

Re: Name for the WestJet Q 400 Operation
Lets see, this new entity will be going into towns too small for 737 service. Serving communities with inferiority complexes who want to prove they are big boys now because they have sked service. Going head to head with Jazz to generate some competition and keep them honest. They want to kick a little AC Ass by being more competent than the old guys. Colour them blue to be distinct from the Liberal Red of AC.
So the name has to be some derivative of Competition, Competent, Conservative maybe?
Co-dependable? ComAir pronounced Calm Air? Quick register, “ Myticket@com.com”
WestJet did well in the beginning because westerners adopted it as our airline as opposed to that eastern establishment airline. How about MY Plane. Reminds me of a bar I saw once called “The Office”, I laughed.... “ How are we going to get to Calgary to catch our charter to Mexico?” “We can take MY Plane.”
Thou I like the idea of naming it something in an 800 number. (You ever notice Japanese car companies always name their vehicles with a number designation rather than a name? Mx-6, T-1000 is universal and multilingual. But universality for an airline today means you have to put the name between WWW and .ca. Something short.
That reminds me there was a survey done over seas by Tourism Canada I think, asking people what they knew about Canada. You know who the most famous Canadian not in the entertainment industry is? Terry Fox. A western boy. Fox Air. The animal for a logo, (planes have long pointy noses), smart, cunning even, crazy like a fox. Let's raid the AC hen house. And it's not region specific while still suggesting Western Canada.
So that's my list
ComAir
MyPlane
Fox

In english, the business definition is that the company can pay its debts. And in french, it combines the french words for ground (SOL) and wind (VENT)...ground wind...

Feeling entitled or just bitter... we all have to work are way up somehow. Remember the $5/hr ramp days - bet you would have been more than happy to take 80% of $70K to start with a reputable and growing company that could have you grow to untold heights in your future. Just sayin'...

My money's on "WestJet". Keep it simple, that's what their clientele is used to seeing.
They'll have enough to deal with when they have to walk outside in all kinds of weather just to get to their aircraft. That'll mess 'em up!
