Me SuperPilot!!!

Post by tiggermoth »

Well, I got out for a flight in a Cessna 150 this weekend. Spent the whole time fighting performance decreasing sheers, rotating cloud wind gradients, inverted cold warm layer CoG shifts and whatnot. I guess according to our friend pdw, the fact that I came back alive means.........

I AM SUPERPILOT!!!

Now, back to reality.....I am more like just average joe private pilot who had fun taking his 4 year old twin boys (Ben and Trevor) for their very first airplane ride. They think I am superpilot and that i sall that matter to me. Also took my 6 year old boy (David) for a flight, he has been up before but still likes to fly with daddy :D

Good to see you beat pdw`s odds and survived!

Great pics and memories your son will take with him to his grave. My son who is now 24 still talks about flights we did when he was 6,8,10 etc.

I agree...maybe not just a superpilot, but superdad too!

Rockstar! If you could bottle those smiles and sell them, you'd make a fortune....

Well done, Dad!

Thanks Everybody. It's just too bad that it was in the 150, if I had my 172 going then someone could have come along to take pics of them while we were in the air. Oh well, we sure had a good time.

Yup, I suppose so  LOL, BUT....the best part is, "taking the boys for a ride" really means "daddy gets to go flying"

Here is another of my favorite pictures of David, the oldest, that I took at Abbotsford 2010.

Edit, Dangit, that one is huge too!! How does one make the pictures smaller????

Great shots Tiggermoth!

I am set for the arrival of twins (a boy and a girl) within mere days. I can't wait to share these kind of experiences with them. Hopefully, I will have the same luck with pdw's "unsurvivable, unrecoverable" freak weather phenomena.

Some of my favorite memories of flying is taking my daughter with me to do camp checks when she was 2-3-4 years old..at first ,I had to help her up the steps, but it was so cool when she finally could just step on the float and climb up the steps her self...during the docking ,she would always sit on my lap and steer the plane in and do a great docking job...too young to figure out that I was doing it with my feet..problem was, with doing this was the guys always gave the tip to HER.....the look on her face was priceless...then she went thru a phase where she was scared...and didn't want to go...but now ,she's 10 and just jumps at the chance to go...I've got duals in the Beaver now,so she just steers it in from the right seat....still hasn't figured out it's my feet...one day she'll catch on,but I'm trying to stall that as long as I can...
