Good.

On one of my summer trips, 3 FA's had 121 years of combined service.

Slam clicked for 48 hours. And did nothing but complain while operating both legs.

Two were from the "retired-from-retirement, aka call-back" group.

Most of our F/A's would give a limb for a 48-hour Mediterranean layover.

Thanks for 40+ years of service, but now you're just cherry pickin'.

I don't care much about how old they are as long as they can do their job safely! However, on the last 2 flights I took on AC with my son, NOT ONE FA lifted a hand to any passenger boarding, not even a pax carrying a bag in one hand and a baby in the other!

After all boarding done and a late push back, 3 FAs emerged from the aft galley to secure the cabin...including 1 to give me a briefing on how to hold my son for takeoff!

Piss poor service...yet again!

Two way traffic doesn't work very well on a boarding aircraft, so if the FA's help everybody carrying two things in their hands it would take a very long time to get going as they move back and forth and you would likely complain about being late. Carrying two things onto an aircraft even if one of them is a baby is more usual than not and people are quite capable of doing so. After all they managed to get that far by themselves didn't they? If someone is experiencing difficulty they will obviously receive all the help they need, especially if they ask for it.

With regards to the FA's emerging from the back galley once everybody was sitting down, what were they doing back there? The airplane does not load its own supplies or check its own safety equipment, and there are a hundred potential things they could have been doing besides fawning all over you.

I've heard all the stories about poor cabin crew at Air Canada long before I got there, but after watching them work for years now nothing could be further from the truth. Passenger comments as they leave the aircraft overwhelmingly do not support your generalized lousy opinion either.

Just an observation from another passenger point of view...........

If there is an adult with an infant usually it is pre-boarded ahead of passengers. He/she is normally helped and briefed then.....unless they changed their practice lately.

I have never observed all flight attendants gather at the back and come out after the aircraft is moving. I believe it is illegal to move any aircraft without the all seated thumbs up from them. I could be wrong. Pilots correct me!

I do travel on Air Canada as well as other airlines, including Westjet, a fair bit. My opinion is unbiased.

If I may suggest, T.P.B. is just venting venom for his personal reason(s) or perhaps he is trying to "rock the boat" for his twisted enjoyment.

Next..........

Isn't why this AC thread has been created in the first place???

Joking aside, people can say here all they want, but if you really want any feedback or had a legitimate concern, simply contact AC Customer Relations Center.
