NetJets currently has an order for 25 Latitudes with an option for up to 125 more. The jet is positioned between Cessna’s Citation XLS+ and the Citation Sovereign and holds a crew of two and up to eight passengers. Its retail price is $14.9 million, with a 1 million discount for a limited time. Cessna has done its language homework on the name Latitude, noting that in Mandarin Chinese the word means “freedom.”

The Latitude development schedule envisions first flight in mid-2014, FAA approval in mid-2015 and entry into service in the second half of 2015, followed by EASA certification in the first half of 2016.

Was just at the factory in ICT a few weeks ago.... First off, the last sovereigns is well into the 330+ serials... Secondly, the demonstrator in the pics is not a Latitude. It is the new sovereign that will be announced at NBAA it will be a fancied up SOvereign. G5000 flight deck with new wing tips and a few other tweaks. Essentially a Sovereign+...... kinda....

Citation 680 Sovereign serial numbers run prototype #709, production 680-0001 thru 680-447, however 3 aircraft including the two photos above, have been assigned to the new Sovereign program with 500 serial numbers.

I can most certainly confirm the pics above are a flight test AC for the new Sovereign. I can also confirm that the flight deck is Garmin.... I was in it But I was made very aware of what would happen to my camera if it should "accidentally" take a pic NBAA will be announced and that isnt too far away. Will be a differences training course for all 680 typed guys. We need some more of these amazing machines in Canada.
