Fort Frances Area

Post by skywardbound »

Just wondering how the employment market is around the Fort Frances area. Any of the float operators take on fresh commercial pilots? Is Fort Frances Air still operating? Thanks.

Thanks for that helpful reply! Lol.

Anybody know if Fort Frances Air is still operating?
Google doesn't tell you which companies hire lowtime guys unfortunately. Just thought somebody on here would have a little knowledge.

Thanks

I guess you've been single for your whole life. If there's a girl you're really into, what do you think is more suave: stand on a street corner asking strangers if she's single or picking the phone up and talking to her like a gentleman.

She's still out there, maybe you should man up and give her a call.

The two main operators in Fort Frances do not normally take on low time pilots to the best of my knowledge. You would have better luck in Nestor Falls or Kenora. However, I happen to know first hand that there won't be any hiring in Nestor Falls this season... any more hiring anyway. After Kenora, try Ear Falls. Showalter's takes on low timers... the other two operators in Ear Falls, normally, do not. Keep driving... next is Red Lake, where you will have the best chance of finding a low time gig in Northern Ontario. Well, it's between that and Kenora. There is also Vermillion Bay. I'm fairly certain they take low time guys but I don't know the crew there very well and am not sure if they are staffed up or not.

There's also Sioux Lookout, Armstrong, Atikokan, Ignace, Nakina, etc., etc., etc... get in your car and go for a drive. You're already late.

Good luck.

Just FYI, FF Air no longer operates. Moved in with Skynorth in YWG.
