You always have the coolest stories! Is there a hush-kit on that thing? I can't quite tell.

Looks like the old bird has had some mods. The hush kits (which makes a whole lot of sense these day) and the winglets. Would like to see what upgrades in the avionics have been installed. Still a cool story. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, brings me back to my childhood.
My father flew that airplane until he retired. Had to have been 15 or 20 years.
I took many flights in it myself with him when he was flying Mr. Galvin to Arizona for work or to Colorado for skiing.
Mr. Galvin was a truly nice guy. Great business leader too.
Lots of stories. Before the wing tips were installed the leading edge was the old aluminum. I spent one whole summer polishing all 4 leading edges. Great summer job.

Did you guys know that it was not only serial #1, but when at Palwaukee the hanger next to it contained the last GII ever made?

Amazing that it ended up in my adopted hometown.

Time for a visit!
