Problem is that AC must staff to service level which includes multi-class seating and long haul. I could see them taking advantage of 1:50 on Rouge flights with single class service.

I like the single engine descents idea! We can tell our kids that when we
were young we always flew with 2 engines, and they won't believe it!

Is this why the APU was started prior to start and the sauna of a cabin was maintained until a couple of minutes prior to start? Or is this just standard practice for fuel savings all the time? Must get pretty warm on those wide bodies with such approach if it's true. External air only gets so cold... First world problems right? :rolleyes:

How are they doing that? Did they get an exemption from TC?
