Your training was done in accordance with your company training syllabus, but conducted by a third party contractor is likely what happened. The validation of the PPC? Did you not have a CCP do your PPC and was the circuit requirement due to the lack of a level D simulator for your A310? I suspect you and I did our A310 PPC on the same sim in MIA quite possibly.

[quote="notpaying"]Alright, so we all know what's going on with Sunwing and their foreign pilots. Good. Yet, I have the impression that their spotlight is shadowing plenty of shady operators in Canada, who despite hiring "local" pilots, have these pilots pay to fly. I consider the problem to be coming from inside of Canada, because we have plenty of young men and women who are willing to pay just so as to boost that hour number. We also have a good number of companies who also feed out of the pockets of young aspiring pilots. I hereby invite you to EXPOSE these operators according to the folllowing criteria; so that we ALL know of their practices....

.

- Asking a potential candidate and stating during the interview that she or he will have to fund their own line check (money up front)
- buy a type rating in order to get the job
- work for free with the promise of a salary or working visa[

There has been a tremendous amount of Thread Drift from the OP. The title of the thread could likely of been better chosen if the purpose of this discussion is as stated in the original post.

Not an attack Colonel, just a troll. The ice is still on up here and I am getting a real bad itch to go fishing.

Really, I was hoping to get the thread onto the whole pay for ratings/working for free/bonds direction. They are my reason for getting out of bed some mornings.

(we need a smilie symbol of a happy face fishing)

Here I am, loading a guy into the airplane, whom
is about to buy his Pitts type rating:

And here's my buddy Gary Ward, after he purchased
absolution for his eternal soul, from a bunch of Buddist
monks (for a very reasonable price, I might add) on
the ramp at Key West in January:

PS Gary is the best airshow pilot you've never heard
of. Here he is in the MX2:

That is the best flying I have seen in a while. I can't say is it the video work or just the skills.

PS I lied. There is no such thing as a Pitts
type rating, and I didn't charge Mikey anything -
he's a good friend, even if he can't drive a
paddle-shift Ferrari (previously owned by
Jessica Simpson) worth beans

PS There will not be an airshow performance in
Canada this year, anywhere near approaching
what Gary can do - unless Rob Holland is booked,
and he might be, come to think of it.
