What's with Ohio? I took an Aztec to Van Wert, Ohio during the Jurassic, and borrowed the FBO owner's wife's pink May Kay Cadillac. Felt right at home in it.....funny thing that....

I think my favorite coutesy car is the one at Unity, Sask (CEK8). Its a green Meteor. I can lay across the back seat without touching either door, so it also makes a good place to take a nap.

Gore Bay (CYZE) has a courtesy van in the summer, they take it off the roads in the winter because of insurance. The CFS will usually tell you when the airport has a courtesy car.

That sounds like a ride in the "courtesy van" is available ... but I don't imagine very many airports anymore can provide keys to a courtesy vehicle.

They give you the van to go into town. At least they did about five years ago.

How's the English as a second language course going for you there, shitdisturber? I don't recall saying I had NEVER used/borrowed/scored a free car an an airport.....or are you to busy living up to your moniker that you lack the ability to differentiate between "tongue in cheek" remarks and common sense? This most likely occurred before you were hatched, as it's obvious to all but the most casual observer, that you still need somebody to change your diapers, even today.

As for "tongue in cheek" "So, has everybody become to stinking cheap to RENT a car for a day????" doesn't seem to fit that category to me, quite the opposite as a matter of fact. I just naturally assumed it was you being your usual contrary self taking an opportunity to denigrate someone who was just looking for information on a way to enjoy a day using an airplane.

If my "English as a second language" is too advanced for you, let me know and I'll be happy to dumb it down for you. As a side note, I have little doubt that you're considerably closer to having someone change your diapers for you than I am! Pretty sure Kindersley has almost the same kind of "land yacht" Still, it was appreciated so we could get to town for a bite.

Its a friendly gesture to provide someone with a loaner, although the tendency to do that has mostly dried up. The more unique, the more memorable it was. Though, according to my insurance, it's still not illegal in any way to merely provide someone a lift.

Didn't see that vehicle in Kindersley SK ... but got stranded there one day in May 2010 and the management at the new motel in town let me stay no charge. Not so hard to empathize with others in need of a good turn after experiencing that hospitality (included breakfast).

For the ride into town without all the fuss (extra time/money), it's neat to see there's still airports where that isn't an issue.
