I got some bad news this morning that a Cessna 337 flown by a pilot who used to work for us crashed in the Purcell Range just north of Crawford Bay. One on board, fatal.

Narrative:
At approximately 0458Z, the FIC received a call from a citizen regarding an overdue aircraft. Information passed to JRCC Victoria who conducted a comm search. At 1331Z, JRCC called to advise that aircraft wreckage has been found and one person deceased. ACC Shift manager advised throughout. No involvement by the FIC with this aircraft. Minimal operational impact.
