Would you support a new National AME association that in brief would be a professional organization representing all AME in Canada, further could also be a union for non-union AME's.
Much along the lines of the UK ALEA (http://www.alae.org/)

Re: National AME Association
I believe this would be a much better solution than the fragmented regional AME associations we now have. It would give us a national voice and could be used to set professional standards...

Re: National AME Association
I agree with Ricktye that it would be an improvement over the regional associations in having more of a national voice and setting national standards. However I think that having it also act as a Union may degrade and distract it from its primary objective of having AME's sway the decision in which direction our industry and profession is headed at a National level. Not to say that having a union for those individuals may or may not be needed, just that having it separate may be a better option in my opinion.
Re: National AME Association
I agree with the previous posts. A national representation would better serve everyone and I would definately support such an organization.
