Books/Websites to help prepare for the TC Written Test?

Post by SJD519 »

Hi all,

I have just finished ground school for my PPL and am beginning to get prepared to take the TC written exam. Can anyone recommend any books, or websites that have sample test questions like the TC Sample test? I found that very useful to highlight areas where I need to review and refresh my knowledge, so I was hoping there are other resources like this out there.

Also, if anyone wishes to share and preparation tips, I am willing to hear all advice.

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve.

I'm a little biased, but you might want to check out this book: http://www.skywriters.aero/products/PPLPrep.html. It includes 900 practice questions organized into 7 single-subject exams, 2 multi-subject practice exams, and a section full of exam tips and advice at the beginning.

The TC practice exam is a good start. There also used to be a software based version of the same exam that allowed you to get accustomed to the electronic exam's user interface before writing the real thing. I just did a quick search and didn't find it, but if you dig around you might.

Cheers,
Steve

Thanks all for the reply's.

There is a guy at our airport who had one of those CD's you mentioned Steve, but he could not find it for me. I will have to see if I can dig around some and locate it.

Will also check out those books. Thanks again.
