Trans Cote, Gulf Air, Alexandair, Sept-Iles Air Service, Rodair, Gagnon Air Service. Gagnon's airplanes were black and red where Max Ward's were blue and red.
how many beavers did art fecteau have at once? I heard from an old timer that he completely stripped and re painted his beavers after every season.
I doubt about the strip and repaint, but his airplanes were always clean and superbly maintained. He had either 12 or 14 Beavers, you hear either figure, at one point in the early 1960's.

You're right SH plus add Central Maritime Airways, Air Ungava, Air Schefferville, Régionnair, AQL (Aviation Québec Labrador), plus Air Alma fonded in the 50's I think. Newfounland Labrador Air Transport that had the most georgous DHC-2T.

But how many of these were just changes of paint?

One example was this 727 I worked on... (sorry, A.net doesn't allow embedding).

For airlines in Canada first there was...

...then back to the States under lease...

http://www.airliners.net/photo/Sun-Paci ... 0046584/L/

http://www.airliners.net/photo/Allegro/ ... 0120823/L/

...back to Canada under the short lived 'Roots Airlines' (yes, I remember).

http://www.airliners.net/photo/Roots-Ai ... 0186662/L/

...then just a charter aircraft under the same owner all along... Kelowna Flightcraft

http://www.airliners.net/photo/Kelowna- ... 0337346/L/

I don't remember it being stripped once between paint jobs. Pretty multi-coloured during sanding as I believe the Braniff colours were still underneath...

I believe those Helio Couriers were Hanna Air`s. We can also add Amigo airways to the list.

White River - http://www.northtoadventure.com/view.ph ... e=wwa_home

3 of the 8 still around, unless you mean the older entities which were originally larger operations.

Add - Ramsey Airways - disregard - Mr Jinks listed that one...but we can add NAC of NW Ontario.

Pezim - weren't those Island Hopper, Air Rainbow, Venture Pacific all money laundering for the Hell's Angels or the Vietnamese mafia or some such thing? Don't know where I read it. I know they all went t.u.

Forgot about Advance. They flew the old Holidair Diesel 8 birds out of YYC over to Russia as a oil rig charter.

Was not North American Airlines originally Business Flights owned 1st by Peter Baden then renamed as North American to be bought by Don Hollier, another crook and SOB. And I do believe Canada Jet Charters was just a charter operator. Do charter operation now defunct count
