I don't want to disappoint the conspiracy theorists, but I know for a fact the ELT was on well before Sioux Lookout and nowhere near the Sioux Lookout track. I know also that it was approximately on a straight line track from Sault Ste Marie to the crash site. I won't say how I know. Take it or leave it.

What do you mean by "well before Sioux Lookout" and "on a straight line track from Sault Ste Marie th the crash site"? If there was never anything but a straight line track from SSM, Sioux Lookout wouldn't be a route marker of any kind, would it?
