I am unfamiliar with the PANAM exam.
For years I carried in my flight bag a manual and flash cards published by Canova Aviation Publications.
I found them to be extremely thorough and easy to understand, both for myself and the students/trainees.

They were well worth the money, although they may be a bit dated now. Our aircraft were pure steam.
Still, even years later, systems are systems...

The B737-200 is like a Seneca 1 with jet engines. It is indestructible.
I have yet to hear anyone speak ill of that aircraft. It is probably one of the best "aviation schools" in the world.
