Is this a trap?
Did somebody send you a bill for 15.5 hours, called it "Baffle-Inspection" and you're not too happy?
Was this in the course of an annual inspection?
I always try to keep my invoices as detailed as possible.
It leads to happy customers and everybody knows where the other is coming from.

Trap? what are you talking about. I didn't get ripped off or anything of the sort, just getting an average amount of time hours, minutes, etc. I don't know. That is why I am asking. If it's 15.5 hours great, just give me something to work with.

5 to 10 minutes... repairs are after inspection

Re: Baffle inspection times?
"Baffles inspection" is a very generic statement. Other things can come into play on the time it would take, like: is this only a baffle inspection? Pulling the cowls off just for this? Cowls already off? Is it filthy and full of oil, thus needing cleaned before inspection? Any extra stuff need to be removed to get access? Is this in compliance with an AD, which the AME may need to do some research on? Is it just a task on a check sheet, requiring only initials on that page, not extra logbook entries? I do agree though, if it's just straight up looking at the already exposed and clean baffles it should be a quick task. And as longjon mentioned, repairs after, and they can definitely be time consuming!
