Hey Dave was just pondering on the Jump Seat side note between Mainline and Encore don't think Mainline Employees can go on jump seat on Encore and vice versa unless that has changed and what is going on the Western side there seems to be no Growth for Mainline no new destinations only for Encore looks like Eastern Side is more favourable for the Network and Planning Team

All the same as WestJet:

- Parent passes (you can interchange with to in-laws)
- Same priority standby travel on WestJet
- Jump seat priveledge on WestJet and all other existing reciprocals
- (4) return buddy passes per year (you do not have to travel with your guest)
- Access to all MY ID travel interlines/reciprocals
- unlimited standby travel for your immediate family and spouse/common law or flavour of the month or week for the single guys all first come first serve (no seniority for standby)
- access to family and friends deals in the spring and fall
- (4) 50% off (listed ticket price) tickets per employee/spouse/common law or dependants per year (positive space booking)

I think that’s everything.
Cheers
Dave

jetsetfly, WJ/Encore pilots and FA'S can and do frequently jumpseat on the other carrier. It's in the GR for reference. However other Encore employees (csa, tac etc) cannot use the Boeing jumpseat, and vice versa.

Last I heard 75 new hires at mainline this year... not sure who your source is, but you had better find a better one

Am not talking about new hires if you took the time and read what i wrote it would be more clear what am asking its not regarding Employment its regarding New Destinations for the Western Market, for Mainline seems like New Destinations out of Vancouver are non existant for a while now also Calgary/Edmonton have a couple of new destinations and Encore is getting new destinations seems like every 3 months but Eastern side is just getting new destinations whenever the summer/winter is released which i beleive is why the 75 hires were brought in ... hope its clear as mud now

That's the problem. Reading your posts gives me a headache. Also, your laziness in ensuring your posts are punctuated properly combined with your attitude have me doubting that you have anything worthwhile to say. To that regard, so long.

Besides poor punctuation (as duly noted), your sentence structure and grammar is atrocious. Perhaps this is your way of being cute in presenting your thoughts/opinion or keyboard laziness or lack of command of the English language. Either way, it’s a bad reflection to have on a public forum however that, in itself is certainly your call to make.

Be careful though when/if seeking employment, things of this nature are again"duly noted".

Actually, I could not understand what you wrote, nor am I willing to put the effort into attempting to translate it.

I'm having flashbacks of grade 5....I know you are but what am I. This thread, while holding some valuable info for some, will be locked fairly promptly I'm sure.

Encore employees traveling in uniform can sit in the flight deck in the 3-7 and vice versa. I believe, however, this only applies to domestic travel as the rules change once you start heading to the land of obesity and hand guns.

What's more worrisome is there is a strong chance he operates aircraft with paying customers on it...

He's an AME, so we just trust that he can read the manuals which are written in proper english.

Actually, it looks like the Encore guys are getting the short end of the stick. The two reciprocal lists are below. WestJetters have almost 20 more reciprocal agreements than Encore. Most of those are American carriers as you can see.

Encore:
Air Canada
 Air Canada Jazz
 Air Georgian
 Air Transat
 Bearskin
 Calm Air
 Canadian North
 First Air
 Hawkair
 Perimeter
 Porter Airlines
 Sunwing Airlines
 West Coast Harbour Air
 Jet Blue
 Northwest Airlink / Pinnacle Airlines
 Silver Airways
 Spirit Airlines
 US Airways
 Virgin America

WestJet has all of the above plus:

Alaska Airlines
Cayman Airways
Chautaqua Airlines
Compass
Continental
Delta
Frontier
Go!
GoJet
Hawaiian
Horizon
Island Air
Mesa
Provincial Airlines
Republic
Shuttle America
SkyRegional
SkyWest
United

Let's remember Encore has only been operating for less than a year now, give them some time to catch up to mainline with their reciprocal agreements. Doubt it's the top priority at the moment.

Hi, if some are missing it's purely administrative. Typically the US guys have been requesting full sign off vs a quick email or admin change like the ones that are currently in place. AC wanted full sign off as well. The goal was the primary ones first.
Your jump coordinator just has to make contact - fill out the change and I sign it.
Away you go! There is no "short end of the stick" with this.
These are indeed not a priority. Give JH a call if you need a particular one done sooner rather than later.

Is it best to do a walk through then apply or apply then do the walk through?

I recommend apply WHILE walking through. Or walk through WHILE applying. Or maybe, apply then walkthrough then walkthrough while applying WHILE eating a sandwich. But WHATEVER YOU DO!!! DO NOT put too much thought into it. Just relax and be yourself...but DO NOT let them see you relax too much!!! But remember to relax...but not too much...and be yourself...but not always...

Good luck!!! :D

Hi Dave,

For those of us that applied to the posting titled "First Officer" that ends in April, is that posting base specific to Calgary? Do we need to re-apply to the "First Officer-Toronto" posting to be considered for that spot?

My personal preference would be Calgary but I want to make sure I'd be considered either way.

Hmmm, good question. Well, I guess if you plan on working at Encore, the cheapest one possible? Maybe a toast sandwich? Whatever they're serving at the soup kitchen that day?
