cat - canso story for you -- back a few years there were 2 cansos based in wpg -- after doing a transport ppc at compay at "a" company "b"hears the transport inspector was upset because of the lack of gear lights in the flight deck -- company "b" installs a red light and a green light on the panel with a toggle switch beside the captain's seat -- see down and locked -- lmfaooooooo --

Good story Charlie, however in all fairness to the guys tht worked for Transport in those days most of them were good types and used common sense based on having flown in the industry.

Not only did the PBY's not have any gear lights they did not have fuel guges in the instrument panel.

Indeed they were -- it was just a new entry military type who hadn't quite crossed over to the dark side -- in the end he did and all was good -- do you know if Bushy is still kicking around the west coast --

On the subject go good TC guys from the Jurassic, I often wonder what became of Martin Braeman? Last I heard, a very old coon's age ago, he had buggered off on his Merlin 36 to the sunny south, to sip well deserved rum drinks in quiet coves in the Caribbean. I'm sure he's no longer with us, but he was a gentleman.
