Damn... And I thought I was old working on 707s 727s 737s DC8s DC9s DC10s L1011s.... We gots ourselves another old-timer... A Vanguard Man. Incase you chose to not read the whole thread... We settled that we all had a different opinion on what "Clean-Sheet" is. Some think it's the C-Series... Others think the 300 is... I personally like to think of Clean Sheets as what my wife prefers to sleep on.

Back on this C-Series fiasco. Good to see the bird back in the air. Any word on people going back to work?

Analysts are mostly 'anal'. As in not knowing what's going on, so it's easier to be negative. No news is bad news? Not necessarily.
Bombardier are building aeroplanes for delivery as we speak. Once they receive certification those aeroplanes will be delivered.
If analysts think no aeroplanes are being built till they receive certification then they just don't get it.
Pretty simple.
If bombardier say the planes will be delivered then they'll be delivered. Well just have to wait and see.

Having one component on the aircraft suffer a failure, resulting in an unfortunate halting of the flight test program, doesn't mean that the thousands of other people working on the project would commence sitting on their hands during the delay. Progress in countless other behind the scenes areas of the project would continue unhindered by the flight test delays.

Macquarie orders up to 50 CS300s

The leasing arm of Macquarie AirFinance has signed a firm order for 40 Bombardier CS300 aircraft for delivery between 2017 and 2019.
First reported by Flightglobal on 18 July, the deal with the lessor includes options to buy another 10 CS300s.
The announcement marks the largest single order for the CSeries since Republic Airways agreed to acquire 40 CS300s more than four years ago, in February 2010.
Macquarie AirFinance chairman Stephen Cook says the deal fits into its strategy of “seeking carefully considered transactions to expand the reach of our successful aircraft leasing business”.
The CSeries CS100 test fleet has resumed operations earlier this month after a 100-day hiatus caused by an engine oil system malfunction, which has been corrected by Pratt & Whitney.
The second test prototype, FTV-2, activated normal mode of the fly-by-wire system for the first time earlier this week.
“We anticipate continued momentum in the CSeries aircraft programme as we confirm our performance predictions for the aircraft,” says Bombardier Commecial Aircraft president Mike Arcamone. http://www.flightglobal.com/news/articl ... 0s-404185/
