CYTZ landing slots?
hello,
just trying to find out whether anyone knows if they will be releasing more landing slots for new commercial operators whether it's flying light aircraft (beavers, otters, etc) or commercial airlines past the 202 landing slots they have now?
thanks

Re: CYTZ landing slots?
Has anyone flown paid charter flights into the Toronto island airport using only floats and utilizing the floatplane service area which is at the Capital hangar I believe. I see Georgian Bay Airways does charters into there and from what I see on their site it looks to be an only floatplane and not amphibian.
thanks,
thanks,
Re: CYTZ landing slots?
My old man has flown to YTZ on his 180 (floats) while he was not doing charters (just boring holes in the sky) I believe he just contacted Trans Capital and they meet him at the float dock. I think they are the ones who maintain it.
Re: CYTZ landing slots?
It is said that there's a lot of crud floating in the harbour.
DId you hear the one about the jurisprudence fetishist? He got off on a technicality.
Re: CYTZ landing slots?
PM me with your phone contact details. I will be in the harbour tomorrow morning with a seaplane and can give you full current details.

Re: CYTZ landing slots?
I was out and returned to CPZ9 yesterday with an aircraft on straight floats. Not much debris in the harbour despite the recent rains that often wash a lot of debris into the the harbour.
The ramp is in useable condition with a few planks in poor condition.
The dock is still the old recycled Outer Harbour Marina dock that is just plain unsuitable to dock any kind of seaplane at. Very small, fenders not designed for a plane and don`t extend below the water line, deck too high and poses a hazard to horizontal stab.. DO NOT consider using this dock in any sort of east wind!!
The launch/retrieval trolley that is used by Trans Capital is old and should have been retired many moons ago. It works but thats about it.
Remember that CPZ9 is PN...and the number for PN in the Water Aerodrome Supplement is incorrect.

Re: CYTZ landing slots?
Thanks spafloats for the update, I guess running a charter into the island using their dock is not going to work.
