CJ types and differences training ??

Post by CJdriver »

Howdy all.

Could anyone point me in the direction to find the specifics in Canada for differences training in the CJ family?

ie I have a 525 type (CJ). What are the requirements to transition to a 525A (CJ2+)? 525B (CJ3+)? Searching TC but havent found it yet.

Thanks in advance!

In canada each CJ is it's own type rating. Weather it be the 525A, 525B or 525C that you're transitioning to TC will insist on a full initial. It's ridiculous seeing as in the US it's a blanket 525 type rating for all.

Thanks for the reply

Really thats too bad. I have heard anecdotal information from several people "I know a guy who did a differences course" but no CARs or anything concrete.

I was flying a CJ3 and then company replaced them with CJ4's, we tried to get TC to allow us to do just the differences course but they wouldn't budge.
